CHEMICAL ANALYSIS LABORATORY
The chemical analysis laboratory is a reality serving the sector throughout the Sicilian territory. With its infrastructure, its equipment and its analytical procedures validated internally and through participation in national interlaboratory circuits, it ensures support to dairies and targeted interventions of specialist technical assistance in the dairy and agri-food sectors. The collaboration agreements stipulated, in the context of specific projects, with public and private bodies for the carrying out of analytical and research activities, training for interns, Italian and foreign interns, represent an important communication driver for the activities of this laboratory .
The laboratory also pays particular attention to the analytical service activity for breeders, agronomists, technicians in the livestock and agri-food sectors for the control of product quality and for the improvement of company management.
Furthermore, the laboratory is able to provide a rapid and non-destructive analysis service using the NIRS (Near Infrared Spectroscopy) technique for the quantitative determination of the main chemical parameters of milk and cheese. This technique allows you to analyze a large number of samples in a short time and therefore plan continuous, broad-spectrum controls.
RING TEST: the laboratory constantly participates in interlaboratory circuits organized by recognized national and international bodies, in order to be able to control and guarantee the reliability of its analytical results.
