DIGITAL TRANSITION OFFICE
The Digital Transition and Privacy Office (UTDP), mandatory for public administrations pursuant to article 17 of the Digital Administration Code (CAD), plays a fundamental role in promoting a safe digital transition that respects the principles of privacy and protection of personal data within public and private bodies.
The main activities of the UTDP are:
1. Digital transition:
• Development of the digital transition strategy: the UTDP defines the organisation’s digital transition strategy, identifying the objectives to be pursued, the actions to be undertaken and the necessary resources.
• Management of digitalisation projects: the UTDP manages the organisation’s digitalisation projects, ensuring coordination between the different areas involved and compliance with the expected times and costs.
• Promotion of digital culture: the UTDP promotes digital culture within the organisation, organizing training and awareness courses for employees.
• Monitoring the impact of the digital transition: The UTDP monitors the impact of the digital transition on the organisation, measuring the results obtained and identifying any critical issues.
2. Privacy and protection of personal data:
• Implementation of the GDPR: the UTDP implements the European Regulation on the protection of personal data (GDPR) within the organisation, adopting the necessary measures to guarantee the security and confidentiality of the personal data processed.
• Training on privacy: the UTDP trains the organisation’s employees on privacy and personal data protection.
• Management of data subject requests: The UTDP manages data subject requests relating to their personal data, such as requests for access, deletion, rectification and limitation of processing.
• Checks and controls: the UTDP carries out checks and controls to ensure compliance with privacy legislation within the organisation.
